Welcome to The Wetland Park Group, our collection of unique truly African encounters and experiences to satisfy your spirit of adventure and love of the great outdoors.

As well as offering complete packages in and around KwaZulu-Natal, we run Umkhumbi Lodge near Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, and Amangwane Camp and St Lucia Kayaking Safaris in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

Umkhumbi Lodge is a family-owned lodge with an atmospheric treetop bar and boma area, located in the game-rich Hluhluwe-Imfolozi area of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Umkhumbi is surrounded by wildlife reserves and the rich ecosystems and beaches of the UNESCO World Heritage iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Guests can choose from a wide range of activities or explore the rich culture of the Zulu nation with our community tours.

Our unique destination experience is Amangwane in the northernmost part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Solar-powered and with its own gravity-fed water tank, Amangwane is a joint community development venture and consists of 10 rustic reed en-suite chalets with both catered and self-catered packages. Conveniently located by the gate to the Kosi Bay Mouth on the Indian Ocean, it’s the perfect base for snorkelling, fishing and the beach.

We also operate St Lucia Kayak Safaris. Established in 1999, we are the only licensed operator to offer these exciting guided kayaking trips around the St Lucia Estuary in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, where hippos, crocodile and spectacular bird life are frequently sighted. We also offer trips to restricted areas such as Catalina Bay and snorkelling at Cape Vidal.
