Hippo Lodge – For a unique safari experience Hippo Lodge is situated
along the banks of the Kafue River in Kafue National Park, Zambia. It is
a four hour drive from Lusaka and an hour and a half flight from Lusaka
International Airport to the Hippo Airstrip.
The road is accessible all
year round. Hippo Lodge is an owner-run camp. Bruce Whitfield, who is
one of the most knowledgeable people on Zambian Wildlife, will make sure
that your stay with us is unforgettable. During your stay at Hippo
Lodge you will be part of a small exclusive group of no more than twelve

private thatched chalets, all en-suite. Each chalet is secluded from the
rest with a breathtaking view of the river frontage and the wildlife.

secluded and spacious villa, known as Stony House is ideal for a family
group.
If you are one of those who wants to be nearer to nature and the
wilderness then choose between two luxurious twin bed tents, en-suite
with open air shower. Creative and appetizing meals are prepared by a
trained chef and served in an open dining room over-looking the river.
