Gary Stand and his family created Wildlife Explorer in 1984 with their own Luxury Tented Camps catering for Gary’s own safaris; We are now pleased to offer our camps and ground handling services to Agents and have therefore rebranded as 255Uncharted.

Luxury Tented Camps are exclusive because they are private, extremely comfortable and totally yours for the duration of your stay, sited in areas of outstanding beauty, our Tented Camps create an intimate accommodation unrivalled anywhere.

A dedicated team of professionals ensure that guests are looked after comfortably and safely in a totally exclusive environment deep in the heart of Africa. 255Uncharted work hand in hand with local communities, creating totally exclusive wildlife reserves to set our Wilderness Camps plus the freedom for our guests to safari by vehicle or on foot. Our intention has always been more about developing a unique experience in the wilderness, rather than trying to create an inappropriate lodge.

Our Luxury Mobile Tented Camps are tasteful, extremely comfortable and above all mobile, allowing us complete freedom to follow the movement of the great migratory herds. The quality of guiding is of paramount importance to us.

The person that accompanies our guests must be familiar with all aspects of game viewing, but he also must have a broad based knowledge of African History, Palaeontology and Cultures, as well as being a fun person to spend time on safari with! 255Uncharted also offers a full ground handling service covering all areas in Tanzania.
