Lemartis Camp - Kenya

Frequently quoted as the most unique and authentic cultural experience in Africa today. Lemarti’s Camp is the only combination of authentic indigenous hosting and cultural immersion with sophisticated style and luxury. A magical voyage of discovery into the Great North of Kenya and an unforgettable encounter with its enigmatic people.

Lemarti’s Camp is set under centenary figs in a palm grove on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Laikipia. This is the second largest wildlife ecosystem in Kenya and boasts the richest wildlife diversity; it is also home to more endangered mammals than anywhere else in East Africa. To walk for a while beside proud nomads in their environment is a truly magical experience.

Owned and hosted by Lemarti, a Samburu tribesman. Lemarti co-hosts with Boni, truly an unforgettable safari. These men have years of personal experience guiding, both deeply traditional but with a foot firmly in the modern world, they have travelled the globe, rubbed shoulders with royalty and celebrity alike, they also co-host their own national geographic miniseries.

Lemarti’s Camp is the height of understated canvas luxury. A romantic bush experience of days gone by. Designed and built by Lemarti’s wife Kenyan designer Anna Trzebinski. Everything has a personal history or is a unique creation, a private home in the African bush. The attention to detail is staggering. In addition to this: gourmet organic cuisine, homegrown produce and sun ripened fruit.

Our world: A unique North Kenya location in Majestic African landscapes; incredible wildlife experiences, conservation; immersion in the local culture – authentic community relationships; style and design, holistic wellbeing: walk with warriors, track elephants, light fires and stargaze the heavens, eat like a king and dream to the sounds of the African night.
