Tomjachu is an exclusive private bush lodge, set in approximately 1000
acres of breathtaking mountain bushveld, where an atmosphere of
relaxation, seclusion and tranquility completely surround you.
The Main Lodge is designed to accommodate between 6 to 10 people and is
surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns with a large swimming pool
and vine covered terraces. There is an indoor and outdoor dining area as
well as a cosy lounge and enormous, fully equipped kitchen.
Accomodation in the Main Lodge consists of a double bedroom with
en-suite bathroom in the main house and 3 adjoining cottages, each with
double/twin bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms.
Adjacent to the Main Lodge is Keepers Cottage which has a large double
bedroom, bath and shower, large sitting room with open fireplace, fully
equipped kitchen and a large patio with views towards Zebra Heights and
Tomjachu Hill.
Bush Cottage sleeps 4 people in one twin and one double bedroom.
Beautifully furnished with a large sitting room with fireplace, dining
area, fully equipped kitchen and delightful patio with enticing
hammocks to while away the afternoons. Strategically situated with
wonderful views across the mountains, the impala graze the grass at dawn
and ostrich drink from the private swimming pool and gaze impudently
through the windows. A sense of freedom prevails.
The Rock House, completed in 2005, is a perfect hideaway for two in
sublime romantic luxury. This wonderful african decor thatched cottage
with an enormous bedroom and sliding doors that completely open out for
you to lie in bed and absorb the breathtaking views coupled with a
double shower and dressing room and fully equipped kitchen and a
completely private pool tucked into the rocks makes this cottage the
perfect honeymoon location.
Tomjachu is 4 star TGCSA rated and 'Highly Recommended' By AA, having
been Finalist for 5 years running in AA Awards for Small Game
Lodges/Nature Reserves catagory.
Outdoor activities include game drives whenever guests wish. Over 25 km
of tracks and trails, including a Voortrekker Wagon trail, give guests
the opportunity to walk safely amongst the animals or fish for bream or
bass at the South Dam from the shore or rowing boat; or have pinnics,
breakfast or suppers at the dam or at the thatched bush lapa under the
stars. The lodge is for guests to roam and explore at their own pace.
Our guests return.....some in excess of 6 times, from all over the
world... there's obviously something a little bit special about Tomjachu
Bush Lodge …
