newly opened office in Madrid. Although the company was set up in
Barcelona in 2002, its youthful appearance can be misleading as it hides

A Step Ahead” is a specialist travel agency based in the Pyrenees mountains in Spain.
We are the result of 20 years designing and guiding luxury safaris in Africa.
Founded in 2009 by professional Kenyan safari guide Justin Bell, and expert travel operations manager Gillian Lyons, “A Step Ahead” primarily specialises in custom guided luxury safaris and Kilimanjaro climbs - tailored to suit each travel party.
Justin Bell was involved in the creation and management of a luxury mobile safari company in Tanzania from 1989 to the mid 1990s. Thereafter he focused on designing and personally guiding custom private guided safaris and leading groups up Mount Kilimanjaro.
Most “A Step Ahead” safaris and climbs are led by a professional experienced safari guide, who will meet guests upon arrival in Africa and take them to the airport on departure at the end.
We offer safaris in various African countries using a variety of accommodations, including an assortment of luxury tented camps in the more remote areas, and the most deluxe spa lodges in the more popular wildlife areas. Our marketing is mainly based on recommendation.
On average 27% of our safaris are prepared for repeat customers, and we consider that our reputation is our biggest asset.
