Shah Tours and Travels - Tanzania

Shah Tours and Travels Ltd was established in 1984 to specialise in adventure holidays in Tanzania. Predominantly centred around Mount Kilimanjaro and all of the various trekking routes, the company has expanded to include trekking on the lesser known Mount Meru and to encompass wildlife safaris in the Northern Tanzania Game Parks with our own 4x4 vehicles and also beach holidays on the mainland coast and on the island of Zanzibar. Based in Moshi, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro the company is ideally located to arrange and operate treks on the mountain. Treks start from the company's hotel in the foothills - Mountain Inn, where it is possible to supplement ‘kit' from the company's equipment and clothing hire service.

It is important for us to ensure that trekkers who travel with Shah Tours and Travel are fully briefed and equipped so as to have the most enjoyable and successful experience on the mountain. Personal attention to all our clients over the years has earned Shah Tours and Travel the reputation of being one of the most experienced trekking tour operators in Tanzania. From our experienced mountain guides and porters, to driver guides, safari guides, camping personnel, to our efficient and friendly office staff, who all follow the example set by Harshit Shah the Managing Director or as he is known around the world ‘Mr Kilimanjaro.

Serengeti Balloon Safaris - Tanzania

SERENGETI BALLOON SAFARIS are based in the world famous Serengeti National Park, Tanzania and have been operating for over twenty years. We fly every day of the year launching balloons from our two bases (central Serengeti and Western Corridor of Serengeti). As the sun rises over the Serengeti Plains, so our balloons and enthralled passengers rise to float gently over some of the most amazing scenery and wildlife in the world.

The average flight duration is one hour. Some of the flight may be at treetop height affording wonderful views of the animals below. At other times, we climb to 1000' or above to see the huge panorama of Serengeti. Eventually we land and celebrate with a traditional champagne (well - an excellent sparkling wine) toast. We then sit down to a special 'Out of Africa' style breakfast prepared in the bush and served under a nearby acacia tree before transferring passengers back to meet their tour guides at the rendezvous point. We look forward to providing your clients with the high point of their safari.

Our Commitment to Responsible Tourism
The Samara Wildlife Volunteer Programme is the ideal way to experience the magic of an African game reserve, while affording peace of mind by contributing to conservation efforts and community projects. Our volunteers are directly involved in eradicating invasive plants, rehabilitating degraded land and collecting data for studies to better understand some of Africa’s most vulnerable species. In addition to this, the programme helps support Vuyani Safe Haven in Graaff-Reinet, which is a home for abandoned and abused children.
We are currently involved in clearing alien invasive cacti species, and have a research project running to determine the effectiveness of herbicides for eradicating these cacti.

Our ongoing land restoration project involves soil erosion management techniques and planting spekboom (a plant that is very efficient at taking up atmospheric carbon from greenhouse gas emissions and helps restore degraded land).  We have a number of animal research projects. Most notable is the cheetah research, which gives volunteers the opportunity to have up close encounters with these incredible creatures.

Samara Wildlife Volunteer Programme raises money for Vuyani Safe Haven to pay for school fees, uniforms and maintenance and upkeep of the home. Volunteers also spend days at the home, helping build, paint, plant vegetable gardens or just playing with the children and bringing some joy into their lives.

Safariworx - South Africa

It is said that Africa gets into your blood. More likely it is just that Africa is already in your blood. It not only appears from the anthropological record to be the birthplace of the human race; it is also a place of substantial primary energy and a striking richness and diversity of wilderness. Safariworx is a bespoke travel company with a very personal touch.

We craft and arrange unique and unforgettable travel experiences around Africa (particularly southern and eastern). Based in South Africa, we have an intimate knowledge and understanding of the continent and its fascinating diversity. We know that it is not only the seeing and the doing but how you see and do that is so critical to maximizing your experience. We are focused exclusively on the most discerning travelers who are concerned with the nuance and subtleties of their travel experience as much as the big picture.

We are concerned with the detail and the follow through and will take the time (if you have it) to properly brainstorm together with you around the multitude of options so that we can best match the destinations, style and type of travel experience to your personal requirements and exacting expectations. We offer a comprehensive, one-stop service, tailor-making each and every element of your trip. We can plan your entire safari, coastal holiday or adventure trip, or just a part thereof, as necessary. With our knowledge and experience of Africa, we can arrange pretty much everything you may require. And it costs no more for us to plan and arrange your trip, than if you did it yourself.

RPS Portfolio - Netherlands

Robin Pope Safaris offers personalised and unforgettable safari experiences, combining genuine African bush with simple yet stylish luxury. Each property is unique in atmosphere and location. Operating exclusively in Zambia and Malawi we offer a true taste of Africa’s remoteness and warmth.

One journalist has described the Robin Pope Safaris experience as follows: “Their camps take, at most, a dozen pampered visitors, every one of whom is treated as a personal house guest and new best friend… a benchmark for excellence and their guides are astonishingly knowledgeable naturalists.

Founded in 1986, Robin Pope Safaris is based in the unspoilt South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, home to perhaps the greatest variety of wildlife on earth - including leopard, lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, hippo and more than 400 species of birds. Each of the 8 operations offers a true wilderness experience with stylish accommodation, attentive service, fine dining and the best safari guides in Africa.

These are superbly complemented by Pumulani, our beach lodge which offers the ultimate luxury on Lake Malawi. In the south of the country in Majete National Park we have Mkulumadzi – another luxury lodge in a stunning location offering a fantastic mix of wildlife including rare antelope species and black rhino. Operating lodges within fragile ecosystems and alongside local communities carries with it a great deal of responsibility. Our Responsible Tourism Policy helps us ensure that we reduce our negative footprint and positively impact our environment.
